Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Compression Solutions
Enhanced Oil Recovery comprises different methods used to increase hydrocarbon recovery beyond what can be achieved through primary production and conventional pressure support. LMF supports gas-injection EOR processes requiring reliable compression of nitrogen, carbon dioxide or another project-specific injection gas.
LMF supports gas-injection EOR processes requiring reliable compression of Nitrogen (N₂), Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) or another project-specific injection gas. The gas must be compressed above the pressure required for injection into the reservoir.
Compressor requirements depend on the injection gas, available suction conditions, reservoir and wellhead pressures, required flow rate and operating profile. Gas properties and phase behavior must also be considered, particularly in carbon dioxide applications.
With more than 80 years of experience in reciprocating high pressure compressor technology, LMF develops tailor-made EOR compressor solutions for temporary field operations and permanent injection facilities. Every solution is individually engineered according to the selected gas-injection process and project requirements.
For temporary gas compression associated with stimulation and other well-service activities, explore our Well Stimulation Solutions. CO₂ injection for EOR must not automatically be classified as Underground Carbon Storage; permanent storage requires a separate project concept, monitoring framework and regulatory basis.
