Rudolf Diesel introduces Austria's first diesel engines in Leobersdorf. Production of more than 1,000 engines with up to ten cylinders.

1901 FIG. 03/15

Viktor Kaplan, inventor of the "Kaplan water turbine," joins Leobersdorfer Maschinenfabrik as design engineer.

1946 FIG. 04/15

LMF extends its rotating equipment portfolio with compressors.

1978 FIG. 05/15

The first compound compressor units for seismic research vessels are built and supplied.

1981 FIG. 06/15

The first LMF CNG (compressed natural gas) filling station is installed.

1985 FIG. 07/15

Launch of the first API 618 process gas compressors.

1988 FIG. 08/15

LMF introduces the first oil-free air compressors for the PET blow-molding market.

Development of high-speed compressors in accordance with API 11P / ISO 13631.

Introduction of a new concept of pipeline evacuation units to eliminate gas losses to the atmosphere. Filed for patent.
