Biogas Compressor Converted to non-cooled Packings

A biogas injection compressor equiped with a third-party packing showing continuous leak of gas into water passages.

After evaluating the overall situation it was decided with the customer to convert the 1st stage packing from water-cooled to non-cooled.

Special care had to be taken to ensure sufficient calorific exchange. New upgrade material was selected and the overall packing re-designed.
