ISO 13631 High Pressure Compressors

LMF ISO 13631 compressors are recommended for applications requiring continuous high-speed operation, stable flow rates and project-specific package engineering.

Each compressor is individually configured according to the gas composition, suction and discharge conditions, required capacity, operating profile and project specifications. Execution according to ISO 13631 defines requirements for the compressor package but does not determine its mechanical arrangement, cooling system or lubrication concept.

Technical Configuration

Depending on the application, LMF selects the appropriate:

  • Number of compression stages
  • Cylinder arrangement and material configuration
  • Sealing and lubrication concept
  • Cooling system
  • Driver and speed
  • Capacity-regulation system
  • Instrumentation and control concept

Project-specific requirements are incorporated into the compressor and package design in addition to the applicable ISO 13631 specifications.

Technical Range

  • Capacity: up to 50,000 Nm³/h
  • Discharge pressure: up to 550 bar
  • Power consumption: up to 6 MW

Gases and Applications

LMF configures ISO 13631 compressors for different gases and gas mixtures according to their physical properties, purity requirements and operating conditions.

Scope of Supply

ISO 13631 compressors can be supplied as individual compressor units or integrated into complete skid-mounted, modular, enclosed or containerized compressor packages.

Engineering, manufacturing, package integration, automation, assembly and testing are coordinated by LMF as a one-stop-shop solution engineered in Austria.

FAQs

ISO 13631 compressors are particularly suitable for applications requiring continuous high-speed operation, stable flow rates and a compressor package engineered according to ISO 13631 and the individual project specifications.
ISO 13631 specifies requirements for packaged reciprocating compressors used in petroleum and natural gas applications. Project-specific requirements may extend beyond the provisions of the standard and are considered during engineering.
No. ISO 13631 defines requirements for the design and execution of the compressor package. Mechanical arrangement, number of stages, cooling, lubrication and sealing are selected separately according to the compression task.
ISO 13631 and API 618 define different requirements for reciprocating compressor packages. The appropriate standard and compressor configuration depend on the application, operating conditions, project specifications and customer requirements. API 618 is generally selected for particularly demanding heavy-duty process applications.
Depending on the gas, purity requirements and operating conditions, LMF provides lubricated, non-lubricated or oil-free ISO 13631 compressor configurations.
