Trunk-Type High Pressure Compressors

LMF Trunk-Type compressors are recommended for applications requiring high discharge pressures within a compact installation footprint.

Their direct piston and connecting-rod arrangement eliminates the need for a separate crosshead, reducing the number of mechanical components and enabling a robust, space-efficient compressor design.

Each compressor is individually configured according to the gas composition, suction and discharge conditions, required capacity, operating profile and installation environment.

Technical Configuration

Depending on the application, LMF selects the appropriate:

  • Number of compression stages
  • Cylinder and material configuration
  • Sealing and lubrication concept
  • Cooling system
  • Driver and speed
  • Control and capacity-regulation system

Trunk-Type describes the mechanical compressor arrangement. It does not automatically determine the cooling method, lubrication concept or applicable execution standard.

Technical Range

  • Capacity: up to 340 Nm³/h
  • Discharge pressure: up to 420 bar
  • Power consumption: up to 130 kW

Gases and Applications

LMF configures Trunk-Type compressors for different gases and gas mixtures according to their physical properties, purity requirements and operating conditions.

Scope of Supply

Trunk-Type compressors can be supplied as individual compressor units or integrated into complete stationary, enclosed, containerized or transportable compressor packages.

Engineering, manufacturing, package integration, automation, assembly and testing are coordinated by LMF as a one-stop-shop solution engineered in Austria.

FAQs

Trunk-Type compressors are particularly suitable for applications combining comparatively low capacities, high discharge pressures and limited installation space. Final selection depends on the complete compression task.
LMF configures Trunk-Type compressors for air and different gases and gas mixtures. Materials, sealing and lubrication are selected according to the complete gas composition and operating conditions. Pure oxygen is excluded.
No. Trunk-Type describes the mechanical arrangement. Cooling is selected independently according to the compressor configuration, operating conditions and installation environment.
Depending on the application, LMF provides lubricated, non-lubricated or oil-free configurations. The appropriate concept is determined by the gas, purity requirements and operating conditions.
